Colombian singer Shakira thanks Barça for an "impressive season"
Pique's partner took to social media following the loss to Liverpool
Shakira has published a message of support on social media for FC Barcelona's players following the 4-0 mauling they received at Anfield against Liverpool on Tuesday.
The key word in her message is "thanks," which is repeared time and time again to try and remind Barça of all the positives following their Champions League catastrophe.
The Colombian singer's sentiment was not just for her partner, Barça defender Gerard Pique, bit for everyone associated with the Catalan club.
"Thanks Barça," she wrote. "For giving us so much joy, for an impressive season. Thanks because in defeat we also grow. Thanks for teaching us that we cannot lose sight of the good moments when we make mistakes. Thanks for reminding us we are only humans and that success must valued in the face of failure.
"Thanks for giving us the chance to mature as fans. Thanks for making us generous and fair. Thanks for giving your all in every game. And getting up every morning so committed to working so hard.
"Thanks for making us dream of touching the sky but always with out feet on the floor. Thanks Barça, the coach and the staff for being more than a club.
