Clubs have wanted Umtiti on trial but neither player nor Barça accepted

It was deemed a lack of respect by both parties given he is not fully fit

Samuel Umtiti is one of the issues Barcelona are trying to deal with. There are 15 days left in the transfer window and no offer has arrived for him despite some interest.

Several clubs have asked to take Umtiti on trial to check his physical condition but neither the club nor the player have accepted die to what has been deemed as a lack of respect.

Umtiti is completely recovered from previous injuries and hopes to go out on loan in the coming weeks.

Barça are helping the player and his camp find an exit. They will allow him to leave for nothing, although the player has not accepted because he has a contract until 2026 and there's also the option of going out on loan.

Umtiti was close to Rennes but the French club opted for other options and his desire now would be to return to Lyon.

Barça are not currently planning to rescind his deal and hope to find a new club for him. Cutting his contract would not help save money and the club also value the effort he's making to find a new club, despite a lack of fortune.

There are some worries and, if nothing comes up, they will speak with the player to make the best decision possible. Umtiti now knows he's erred in not leaving Barça before to prove himself.
