The French defender, who was officially presented as a Barça player yesterday, trained under the orders of Valverde this morning

Barcelona's latest new signing, Clement Lenglet, has now completed his first training session with Ernesto Valverde. The French centre back, who was presented as a Barça player yesterday, was the newest face in the morning's session at the Cuitat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Under the orders of Valverde all of the available first team players at the club, including Sergi Samper, undertook the first of two training sessions today.

Lenglet turned 23 last June but he knew straight away that it was time to make the step up to an elite club. During his presentation he said: "Every footballer wants to play for the best teams and I know I'm at a very big side. There's a lot of competition in my position but I'm going to try to play and give everything I've got out on the pitch."

Lenglet arrived at Barcelona in good shape following a week of preseason training with Sevilla.
