Andreas Christensen will miss Barcelona's LaLiga game against Real Valladolid on Sunday due to fever.

The Danish defender felt unwell over the weekend and Barça confirmed ahead of kick-off he would not be available for the third league game of the season.

Christensen was also a late drop out from the Joan Gamper trophy, with Barça explaining at the time he had back problems.

However, he recovered to start the league games against both Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad, partnering Eric Garcia on both occasions.

In his absence on Sunday, Jules Kounde will come into the side to make his official debut for Barcelona.
