Gavi gets better every time he plays and people are noticing. Former footballer Jamie Redknapp, analysing the game for Sky Sports in the UK, was stunned by his performance.
“I want to see Gavi’s birth certificate,” he joked. “You can’t be that good at 17. He’s a phenomenon, very talented. I’m stunned, I loved watching him play, it’s a pleasure to see it.
“Gavi will be a superstar if he continues on this path. He has it all, I loved watching him play tonight.”
The youngster shone for Spain in his first international games against Italy and France.
