The Champions League is back at Camp Nou and so is Lionel Messi. Passed fit, the Argentine is in the squad although he may start on the bench. But his mere presence intimidates the opposition. Ouse Dembele is back too, also likely for the bench.
Inter will be a test of fire for Barcelona. Admittedly they only drew at the San Siro with Slavia Prague, but their Serie A numbers are something to fear. Barcelona will need to be at their best to defeat Antonio Conte’s team.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen between the sticks is non-negotiable. Nelson Semedo back in fresh at right-back after his weekend rest, Pique-Lenglet in the middle and Junior Firpo staying at left-back. That’s the defence.
In midfield it seems Valverde will stick with Busquets, Arthur and De Jong. Sergi Roberto is an option too, with Rakitic, Vidal and Alena likely to be left out.
Up front continuity is expected with the trio of Carles Perez, Griezmann and Luis Suarez.
