Champions League draw: Barça to play Bayern or Chelsea if they beat Napoli

Bayern have a 3-0 lead in their tie and will likely be Barça's rival if they get through

Barcelona will face Bayern Munich of Chelsea in the Champions League quarterfinals if they can get past Napoli next month.

Quique Setien's side have the second leg of their last 16 tie with the Italian side to come at Camp Nou in August. They drew the first leg 1-1 in Italy. If they progress, they will take part in the revamped final eight in Lisbon.

Bayern have a 3-0 lead over Chelsea from the first leg at Stamford Bridge and are strong favourites to make the quarterfinals when they two teams meet again Munich next month.

Looking further ahead, if Barca were to get past Napoli and then Bayern or Chelsea, they would face a potential semifinal against one of the four following teams: Real Madrid, Manchester City, Lyon or Juventus.

City lead Madrid 2-1 in their last 16 tie with the second leg to be played in Manchester next month. The winners will face Juve or Lyon in the last eight, who drew 1-1 in France and still have to play the second leg in Turin.

The other half of the draw is more straightforward. Atletico Madrid, who knocked out holders Liverpool, will play RB Leipzig, while Atalanta will play Paris Saint-Germain. The winners of those two ties will meet in the semifinals.

Remember, due to coronavirus, this year's ties from the quarterfinal onwards will be one-off games played over two weeks in Lisbon in August. Usually, the quarterfinals are two-legged affairs with only the final played over one game and at a neutral venue.
