Chakvetadze passes his Barcelona exam in Georgia clash
The Georgia forward scored the only goal of the game against Andorra
At Barcelona they are always on the lookout for young talents to bring competition to the squad. So when the international break comes around the scouts head out to watch all sorts of games. One of them was Andorra vs Georgia. Giorgi Chakvetadze is one player Barca have been tracking for over a year.
They went to watch the Georgian to see if he lived up to expectations. And he did, scoring the only goal of the game.
Born in 1999 he arrived in Belgium last year after netting five goals for Dinamo Tiblisi at 17 years old. He had an adaption year where he didn't play much, but this season he has been important, scoring four and setting up two in 15 appearances.
He is a right footer who can operate on the wing or behind the main striker. He dribbles well, cuts inside and attacks spaces with speed. He can also play good passes between the lines, something liked at Barca. He also has the capacity to surprise.
