The Mexican is currently doing preseason with LAFC in the U.S

Carlos Vela is one of the options Barcelona have looked at to replace Munir in their squad as they search for a backup for Luis Suarez. The club want a No.9 and the Mexican's a valid option, given he can play anywhere across the front line if necessary.

There was even an agreement reached between the player and the two teams, Los Angeles FC and Barça, although the breaks have been put on. Barça have doubts about Vela because he's not played competitively since November.

Until now, Vela's not said anything, but he's now broken his silence about a possible move to Barcelona, who will have a meeting on Monday to decide what to do about the forward situation.

In comments to ESPN, Vela said: "They are issues for the clubs and agents. I'm relaxed, working on the preseason and the most important thing is to be happy in the place you are. In the future we'll see what happens.

"Whatever I may decide or happens I'll be happy because I'm loving being in Los Angeles with my team enjoying the day-to-day and I don't have anything to lose in any case."
