The La Masia product is in dreamland with his first team involvement

This was Aleña's third appearance in La Liga in the last month

Barcelona's win over Osasuna allowed players not usually accustomed with the limelight to star: Andre Gomes, Paco Alcacer and Javier Mascherano.

It was also a big day for Carles Aleña, the teenage La Masia graduate who made his third league appearance when he replace Lionel Messi in the second half.

"It's been a special day for me," he said after the game. "I've had more minutes for the first team and I've had the chance to come on for Messi after the homage which had been paid to him [for his 500 goals]. It's a day I will never forget.

I am learning so much training with [the first team], with the intensity they have. It's a positive experience, there's nothing negative about it. I am aware I am still a Barça B player, where we still have important targets, but whenever Luis Enrique needs me I will be here."

On Mascherano's first goal for Barça, which came from the penalty spot, Aleña added: "I suppose it's something which had been spoken about [him taking it], but it's not something I get involved in. I am really happy for him. With everything he gives to the team it's a just reward and I hope there are more goals."
