The midfielder came on for Pedri in the 83rd minute in the Champions League
Barcelona midfielder Carles Alena played his first minutes since the pre-season in the Champions League against Dinamo Kiev. Ronald Koeman brought him off the bench in the 83rd minute to replace Pedri in the club's 2-1 win at Camp Nou.
Alena has been in squads this season but has not had the opportunity to play any part until now. Koeman brought him on to try and help make the team more solid as they looked to hold onto their narrow lead.
Tsygankov pulled a goal back in the 75th minute after Leo Messi and Gerard Pique had scored for Barcelona, leaving the Catalans in an uncomfortable position for the final phase.
