Careful, Barça! Four players a booking away from a suspension

Messi, De Jong, Griezmann and Mingueza are all walking a tightrope

Antoine Griezmann and Oscar Mingueza joined Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong on four bookings in La Liga this weekend.

It means that the next time any of them are cautioned, they will have to serve a one-match suspension in the league.

The next few games are going to be crucial, therefore, with Ronald Koeman's side hosting Granada and travelling to Valencia before the vital fixture against Atletico Madrid.

If any of the quartet of players are booked against Granada, they will be suspended in Valencia; if they're booked in the Valencia game, they will miss Atletico's visit to Camp Nou on May 8.

The worst-case scenario would probably be if more than one of them -- especially considering their importance this season -- were to be be booked against Valencia and miss the Atletico game.

It's a situation Koeman will have to keep in mind as he manages his squad over the final six games of the season with the title in Barça's hands.

If they beat Granada on Thursday, they will go top with all four title candidates -- Atletico, Madrid, Sevilla and Barça -- having played 33 games.

Following Atletico's loss to Athletic on Sunday, the Blaugrana know a draw against Diego Simeone's side will be enough to win them the title if they can win their other five matches.
