Osasuna manager Joaquín Caparros said after his side's 0-3 defeat against Barcelona at El Sadar that it was a "shame" not to keep the Blaugrana out in the first half, but remained happy with the work of his players.

"I am happy with the work of the team and that's the way we have to continue, but Barça demand a much from you, they're a good side and it's difficult to maintain concentration for 90 minutes," he said.

"The team put in a huge effort and played with intensity, but once Barça take the lead it's tough to come back. Against talent and creativity there's nothing [you can do]..."

Despite the fefeat Caparros felt his side took a step forward in their fight against relegation, even though they remain bottom of the table.

"There are a lot of points to play for and maitaining this intenisty and working with the same mentality, results and points will come," he added.

He also expressed his desire for the injury to captain Miguel Flaño not to be seriour: "Miguel is important inside the group and we hope it's nothing."
