The Barça defender explained why he is tired of the people waiting outside the training ground

Joao Cancelo has responded to the criticism he has received in recent days for allegedly not treating Barcelona fans who usually wait at the club's training ground to film, take photos and ask for autographs from the players well.

In the last few hours, a video has been circulating on social media showing the Portuguese full-back addressing several supporters who asked him for a photo or an autograph. Cancelo accused the fans of being "very annoying" and of being there "every day" asking him to stop with the car.

Several Instagram accounts echoed the video and even went further, commenting that such attitudes are not exemplary. The Barça player wanted to defend himself with a reply on Instagram.

"Faced with the stupid things I see written around here I have several things to say," he wrote. "Firstly, they are not fans, they are 20-year-old kids who are outside the Ciudad Deportiva all day long, or when I am with my daughter in the park or just walking with my wife.

"Secondly, they ask for signatures on stickers or T-shirts and then sell them. And this is repeated every day, and always by the same people. These are people who don't know how to respect other people's space. For the people who criticise, first try to know the reality of the facts and then comment. Because real fans would always receive respect."
