Camp Nou to be used as massive vaccination centre against coronavirus
Barcelona's home stadium has all the necessary qualities to carry out the program
The Catalan Health Department are preparing the logistic to covert Barcelona's Camp Nou home into a huge vaccination centre.
According to Esport3, the Health Department want to roll out a similar project to the one in the United States at New York Yankees' stadium.
The intention is to have the logistics and infrastructure in place to be able to carry out a huge vaccination program to help combat the coronavirus spread in the region.
Huge spaces are needed and they also need to be well ventilated, preferably even outside, and with space and access points for the public to arrive.
Camp Nou and its surroundings respond perfectly to the needs of the Health Department and therefore is likely to be given the green light.
Barça have already been sounded out about the possibility and are willing to help, although the incoming president, who will be elected on March 7, will have the final say.
