Barcelona face Lyon in the last 16 on Tuesday

Sergio Busquets is not underestimating Lyon, Barcelona's last 16 opponents in the Champions League.

The midfielder said it "will be important to score" and that he hopes Barça will be a "tough team" moving forward in the competition.

Busquets said that the Catalans have "been warned" multiple times that erorrs will cost you your place in the later rounds.

"We know that it's a different competition and that everything we've done so far means nothing," he said. "We're 100 percent motivated and we know how difficult it's going to be. We've got the warning of recent seasons.

"But now we have to look forward. Lyon are dangerous. We have a lot of respect for them. Look at their results this season against PSG and Man City.

"We feel it will be important to score [an away goal]. If you can score, even if it's in a draw, you always have a better chance in the second leg.

"We expect Lyon to be at their best. They were good in the group stage, not losing, and they have great potential in attack."

Busquets wants Barça to be "more solid" as they look to avoid an early exit as happened last season against Roma.

He added: "The way in which we went out last season hurt everyone but we can't obsess about it. We want to go as far as we can in this competition this season. Hopefully there's no [Roma] repeat. It is up to us  to make sure it does not happen again.

"The important thing is what we're doing in the Champions League this season. We did well in a difficult group. I think that's what we have to focus on. Our problem in recent years has been away from home. We have to be much more solid. We have to know how to compete."
