Busquets or not to Busuqets, that is the question

Sergio Busquets was the protagonist before the Clascio after he dropped out of the line up and he was missed from the goalless draw at Camp Nou.

This Thursday marks 10 years since Barcelona's sextuplet trophy win under Pep Guardiola, with Busquets, Pique and Messi still key figures in the team.

Busquets has been the chief in midfield for years, the cement that keeps the team's lines together. However Barcelona nowadays don't seem capable of dominating a game like they did in the Guardiola era. Used to the limit by all his coaches until now, Busquets' game time has started to be managed by Valverde. He didn't play in the Clasico because he was ill, but he was also absent against Athletic, Granada, Atletico and Inter.

Two defeats in those games show the problem and symbolise the debate over the second captain. Some voices question him when he starts, saying he doesn't have enough gas in the tank to play in such a demanding role anymore, but Barca also don't look right without him. He has played in 664 matches with the first team and the Spanish national side (550-114). 

In the 18 matches he's played this season Barca have 13 wins, 4 draws and one defeat at Levante. But Busi only played the last 27 minutes of that game.
