"We knew it would be difficult to beat Girona, they're good in the air"

Sergio Busquets, who against Girona picked up his fifth booking of the season and will miss the game against Valencia, knew Eusebio's side would make it tough for Barcelona.

The midfielder said that "we knew it would be difficult because they man mark and if we got involved in aerial battles with their three centre-backs it would be complicated because they're really tall" after Barça's 2-0 win at Montilivi.

Busquets, however, added that "when we got through the first line of pressure we had more chances. But I repeat, we knew we would struggle because they're so great in the air."

Analysing the chances, he said that "the one they had in the first half which Gerard [Pique] got off the line was a very clear one."

Barça, with the win at Girona, restored their five point lead at the top of the table: "Obviously the aim is to keep the run going, it's a good advantage we have but we cannot switch off because our rivals are doing well too and they won't slip up."

Despite the eight-game winning run in the league, Busi finished: "There's a long way to go in La Liga, we're on a good run but nothing is definitive yet."
