End of the Brozovic and Al Nassr soap opera approaching

Marcelo Brozovic's transfer deal to Al Nassr could be coming to an end. The Inter Milan midfielder has been spotted at the Shangri-La hotel in Paris where he is due to meet with officials from the Saudi club to put an end to a deal that has been dragging on for too many days. The final agreement for the Croatian's transfer could be reached tonight.

Brozovic will sign a contract with Al Nassr for the next three seasons, in which he will be paid around 100 million euros. He will have a salary of slightly more than 30 million euros.

The transfer ran aground precisely because the player did not accept the 20 million per season he was being paid and lobbied for a higher initial proposal. He counted on the interest of FC Barcelona to force the Saudis to increase their offer.

The midfielder was hesitating for some time because he was attracted to the Catalan club and continuing at the highest level in Europe but the impossibility for Barça make him a formal offer, which would also be far from the figures of Al Nassr conjured up, will end up with the player moving to Saudi Arabia.

In addition, during the last few days, Al Nassr took the opportunity to lower the initial offer to Inter, which was 23 million euros, to 15 million euros. Perhaps it was also a pressure measure for the Italian club to force their player to come to an agreement. "I think the biggest problem is the contractual relationship between the player and the new club. If they find a solution in a short time, we will try to close the deal," said Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta.
