Brendan Rodgers, Lionel Messi and the Loch Ness Monster

"¿Qué es más probable que exista el monstruo del lago Ness o que Messi sea humano?"

El técnico respondió a esta pregunta con "es la peor pregunta que me han hecho nunca"

What’s more likely: the existence of the Loch Ness Monster or Lionel Messi being human?

That was a question put to Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers ahead of his side’s Champions League game against Barcelona on Wednesday.

“It’s hard to believe you asked that question,” he said in disbelief.

“I don’t know much about the Loch Ness Monster but I know Messi’s a brilliant player, but that’s the worst question I’ve been asked.”

Rodgers was also asked if Messi should win the Ballon d’Or, but it was another Barca player who got his nomination.

“Messi’s won it too many times already!” he joked.

“It’s been between him and Ronaldo for last few years, for me it’s about choice. It’s about preference. Do you prefer Messi or Ronaldo?

“But I think Luis Suarez is in that bracket now, too. He’s made Barça a better team with his quality, his goals and his spirt.

“I would like to think he’d be nominated this year (in top three). How he wasn’t nominated last year I do not know.

“I think if we’re talking about Ballon d’Or and last year I don’t think anyone better than Luis Suarez.

“He’d be deserving of that award. But Messi’s a player I’ve admired since I saw him as a teenager.

“And his last 10 years have been remarkable, his quality, the things he does in the game is magical."
