Agent Pini Zahavi is working on finding a new club for the PSG forward this summer

What seemed an unlikely operation a few months ago is now not looking as complicated. The reason being Paris Saint-Germain owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi is no longer ruling out the sale of Neymar.

The PSG chief's recent comments have changed the scene. Now there are other actors involved, as is the case with agent Pini Zahavi, who was key in moving Neymar from Barcelona to France two years ago.

Barça know that if anyone is capable, as a mediator, of pushing such a difficult operation through, it is Zahavi.

He's been the first to lay the cards on the table and to begin to prepare for Ney's departure from PSG. Close to the Neymar family since the forward was at Santos, in recent weeks he's been looking into a return to Spain.

In Barça's favour is the agent's good relationship with Al-Khelaifi. Until recently, the two were even in talks over renewing Neymar's deal in Paris.

But something has changed since then on both sides. For starters, Al-Khelaifi is disappointed with the player, who has never seen his long-term future with PSG clearly.

In fact, in the world of football, many people are aware of the movements of people close to the player to push through a return to Camp Nou.

"I do not want star behaviour anymore," Al-Khelaifi told France Football. "They will have to do more and work harder. They are not there for their own amusement. If they do not agree, the doors are open -- Ciao! No one forced Neymar to sign for PSG."

The Brazilian's never felt in Paris like he did in Barcelona, where his good relationship with Lionel Messi contributed to the club's brilliant performances. Under Luis Enrique, he formed a spectacular front three with Messi and Luis Suarez, which brought the Catalans a treble and their last Champions League.

Neymar still returns to Barcelona when he can and is in permanent contact with Messi and Suarez via a WhatsApp group.

A number of injuries and the continued off-the-pitch stories have also not helped his relationship with PSG.

But it's not just about Neymar. Last season saw a lot of tension at the Ligue 1 champions. Even players like Kylian Mbappe and Julian Draxler made comments which rocked the atmosphere around the club, while the Adrien Rabiot situation has also been bubbling in the background.

That's why Al-Khelaifi is preparing a small revolution this season to avoid these sort of problems. That's why Neymar has become available. But it's not just Barça who want to explore the possibility of signing him.

Other clubs, such as Real Madrid, Manchester United and even Juventus, are following the player's situation. That PSG have finally decided to put him on the market opens a door which just a few weeks ago seemed closed.
