Brazilian legend Ronaldinho's son is on trial with Barcelona's U19 team

Joao Mendes de Assis Moreira, which is what Ronaldinho's son is called, has terminated his contract with Cruzeiro and is in Barcelona undergoing a trial with Barça's U19 team, Juvenil A.

If he does well and the coaches consider it opportune, the heir to the legendary footballer -- who with his magical football and his smile raised the spirits of the Catalan club and brought back the glory days -- could become a Barça player.

The possible signing is being carried out personally by the president Joan Laporta, who is the one who is speaking with Ronaldinho, one of the club's ambassadors, although, logically, the last word will be with the coaches. The sporting committee has not participated at any time in this matter.

Joao Mendes, 17, plays as a forward and when he signed for Cruzeiro at the age of 14 he hid his identity so as not to have advantages and make his way on his own merits. He is left-footed and measures 1.78 meters.

It is not known if he will end up wearing the Barça shirt, but what is clear is that the legacy of his father at Barça will be very difficult to overcome.

Ronaldinho, titles aside, managed to bring joy back to the club. He spent five years at Camp Nou and played 210 official matches in which he scored 95 goals, some going down in history, such as the one that caused applause at the Santiago Bernabéu. With Barça he won the Champions League and two leagues.
