Pavon will play with Messi at the World Cup in Russia this summer
Boca Juniors forward Cristian Pavon could be a potential signing for Barcelona, according to a report on Argentine radio station Closs Continental.
The report claims that Barça have already asked questions about the 22-year-old, who will take part in the World Cup this summer after being called up by Jorge Sampaoli.
RELATIONSHIP WITH MESSI
Just a few days ago Sampaoli highlighted the excellent relationship on the pitch between Pavon and Barça's Lionel Messi after the Albiceleste beat Haití 4-0 at La Bombonera.
“Cristian is a player with very special characteristics for communicating with Messi, because he uses the space well and he offers himself all the time," the Argentina coach said. "We have high hopes for him and for the partnership they can establish."
Pavon only played the final 30 minutes of that game but he did set up Messi's third goal of the game.
