Beware Espanyol! Lionel Messi, the authentic derby 'killer'

He is up agianst Espanyol's Diego Lopez, who has conceded 10 Messi strikes

If anyone is capable of taking on a team arriving at Camp Nou puffed up because of recent good results, it's Leo Messi. It's true that Real Madrid escaped becaue of Sergio Ramos's usual last-minute endeavours, but luckily for Barça, Espanyol have no Ramos.

Messi's numbers going into the derby are excellent. He leads La Liga's Pichichi chart with 11 goals, and is the top scorer in this derby with 16, as well as being the top scorer in the derby at Camp Nou, with 11.

He is up agianst Espanyol's Diego Lopez, who has conceded 10 Messi strikes, six with Villarreal and four when he was at Real Madrid. He has the 'honour' of being Messi's eighth favourite victim. The first is Diego Alves, with 20 goals. Iker Casillas is second with 17.
