Benfica have informed the Portuguese Securities Market Commission that they are still in negotiations with Barcelona for Semedo
Nelson Semedo passed his medical this Friday and will soon be presented as an FC Barcelona player
Benfica do not consider the transfer of Nelson Semedo to FC Barcelona a done deal. Although, the Portuguese defender is undergoing a medical in Barcelona, Benfica have issued a statement announcing that the deal has still not been completed and negotiations are ongoing with Barcelona according to a release sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission by Benfica.
The club did however acknowledge that the player was “authorised to undergo medical examinations by FC Barcelona”. Nelson Semedo, who arrived in Barcelona on Friday, is still expected to sign for around €30 million plus add-ons.
