Bartomeu rules out Luis Suarez leaving Barça for Manchester United
The president pointed out that talks are underway to renew the Uruguayan's contract at Camp Nou
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has spoke about reports in England claiming Manchester United will make a huge effort to try and sign Luis Suarez.
In quotes to Sky Sports, Bartomeu made it clear that the Uruguayan forward’s future is at Camp Nou, not giving any credit to the rumours.
"We read, we listen, we see this news, but of course, our interest in this particular case is that Luis Suarez is happy at Barcelona," Bartomeu said.
The president pointed out that “we are trying to extend his contract with Barcelona and he is one of our big future efforts because he is still young, he has a vision, a lot of ambition.”
Bartomeu considers him “the best striker in Europe” and wanted to insist that “he is happy at Barcelona and together with Lionel Messi and Neymar, they are really very dangerous."
