Barça have taken advantage of the Champions League draw in Monaco to practically seal the deal to bring Ousmane Dembélé to Barcelona. The Hotel Le Meridien in Monaco were the draw is usually held was the centre of European football for a few hours and was where Dortmund and Barça reached the deal.

The president travelled to Monaco on his own this morning, keen to make the most of the opportunity and aware that the club was about to make a record investment. In Monaco, Bartomeu and Rauk Sanllehí negotiated with the Dortmund representatives.
And it was at this meeting that a fee of €150 million (€120 million fixed plus €30 million in add-ons) was agreed. Bartomeu and Sanllehí were satisfied with the outcome but asked journalists to focus on the draw for the Champions League but did say that the deal could be made official in the next day or two.
