Barcelonea will let Samuel Umtiti go even if it's on loan

Barcelona are on the line for centre-backs this season. Lenglet and Pique are playing virtually every game, supported by Araujo, while Samuel Umtiti has knee trouble again. They will let the Frenchman go this summer. There are no transfer offers but Barca are willing to loan him out and sign a defender of their own this summer.
Eric Garcia is the chosen one, although there's no agreement with the player of Man City yet. Umtiti is not keen to leave Barca but Italy seems his most likely destination. Barca's decision is firm and they won't give his complaints much shrift. Umtiti has been on the market for weeks even though he wants to stay. They would love to get his huge salary off the books. There's also the chance that he finds form while out on loan and improves his injury state.
The defender is conscious of Barca's intentions. He had been rejecting any ideas about leaving given his comfort at the club and in the city. But he might change his opinion once he's fifth choice. It's a complex situation.
