Barcelona's squad as preseason 2021-22 kicks off against Nastic
Ronald Koeman is without the majority of his squad due to international tournaments
Barcelona have confirmed their squad for the first friendly of preseason, which will take place against Gimnastic de Tarragona at the Johan Cruyff Stadium on Wednesday.
Ronald Koeman has called up 23 players but only seven were registered with the first team last season. The majority of his squad are not yet back in training due to involvement in Euro 2020 and the Copa America.
New signing Memphis Depay has started training this week, while Clement Lenglet, Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong are also back, but this game comes too soon for them.
They could feature on Saturday, when Barça host Girona, also at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.
Therefore, the majority of Koeman's squad features B team players, with Alex Collado and new signing Yusuf Demir two of the players to keep an eye on.
Full squad: Dest, Piqué, Pjanic, Riqui, Neto, Roberto, Umtiti, Iñaki Peña, Arnau Tenas, Collado, Demir, Ramos Mingo, Gavi, Comas, Escobar, Balde, Matheus Pereira, Igor Gomes, Peque, Rey Manaj, N'Diaye, Hiroki and Nils Mortimer.
