Barcelona’s options for dealing with Ousmane Dembele
The French winger is being frozen out and there are three choices for Barça
Barcelona want to resolve the Ousmane Dembele situation. Laporta explained on Wednesday the disappointment the club felt inthe French forward for not extending his deal or leaving in January. He has a contract until June.
Laporta says Xavi can decide whether Dembele keeps playing or not. With Adama and Aubameyang on the Europa League list and Alves sacrificed, we could see that as a clue that Dembele won’t be in the team.
The other option that Barcelona are looking at is sacking him. The club would not save much money by doing this but it would be a good way of getting rid of him once and for all. However it wouldn’t look good, for future signings.
The third possibility is that he keeps training and doesn’t play, til he leaves in June.
