Barcelona will look to continue their splendid run in the last 16 of the Champions League when they take on Lyon in the New Year.
Things have not always gone well in the last eight, especially recently, but what is true is that Barça have reached the quarter-finals in each of the last 11 seasons.
In each of these 11 years, Barça have always played the second leg at home as they have always won their Champions League group.
Starting from last year, they have beaten Chelsea, PSG (the unforgettable 6-1 win), Arsenal, Manchester City (twice in a row), Milan, Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal, Stuttfard, Lyon and Celtic.
Only on two occasions have Barça been knocked out in the last 16 since the format changed in 2003-04. Both times they had the second leg away: against Liverpool in 2006-07 and Chelsea in 2004-05.
