Barça came from 4-0 down to win a historic Champions League game

Brazilian side Chapecoense are also among the nominees

Barcelona's comeback in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain last season has been nominated for a Laureus Award. The Catalan club's 6-1 win at Camp Nou on March 8, 2007 is among the nominees for World Comeback of The Year.

Luis Enrique's side went into the game 4-0 down from the first leg in Paris, but produced a turnaround never previously seen in the Champions League.

In the category Barça are up against other nominated legends of sport such as Roger Federer, Moto GP rider Valentino Rossi, athletes Justin Gatlin and Sally Pearson as well as Brazilian football club Chapecoense who played in the Joan Gamper Trophy game for the Brazilian side at the start of the season.

The winner will be announced at an event in Monaco on Feb. 27.

Among the previous winners of the prestigious award are the likes of Michael Phelps, Dan Carter and Rafael Nadal.

Barça have history with the Laureus Awards. They received a prize in 2007 for their alliance with UNICEF, were named the World's Best Team in 2011 and won a Fairplay award for their Infantil B's gesture in the World Challenge Cup in Japan in 2016.
