Barcelona will not recall Emerson and the priority is to sell him
The right-back has had a fine season at Betis and is drawing plenty of interest
Barcelona are beginning to think about letting Nelson Semedo go this summer and the club considered bringing Emerson back from his loan at Real Betis as his replacement.
The Brazilian right-back has developed at Betis but the coaching staff feel he's still not ready for Barça. The idea is to leave him on loan in Seville or, if possible, sell him.
Barça have offers from English clubs for Emerson and could make a nice profit on him this summer.
The Spanish champions have invested more than six million euros in Emerson and would have to pay another six million to cut his loan short at Betis.
But Barça, in principle, will only bring him back if they get an offer of more than 20 million euros. West Ham, Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham have all been in touch.
