Sandro Rosell's arrest for alleged money laundering has nothing to do with his time as president of Barcelona. Nor the Neymar case he resigned over in 2014. For this reason the club are not expected to make a comment on the police operation called Operation Rimet.
Sandro Rosell is the second ex president of Barcelona arrested in recent years. Josep Lluis Nunez, who took charge of the Blaugrana between 1978 and 2000 was put in Quatre Camins prison on November 16, 2014 for six years (although it was later reduced to two years and two months), after being convicted of bribing tax officers and falsifying documents in the 'Hacienda Case'.
