Barcelona will make some money from Monchu's sale to Valladolid

The Granada midfielder has been on loan at the newly promoted side and will stay

Good news for Barcelona in the early days of the market. Valladolid, who have risen up to the Spanish top flight, have confirmed they will execute their option to buy on Ramon Rodriguez Jimenez, aka Monchu. And that has earned Barcelona some money.

The Catalans had a 50% of next sale clause after leaving for Granada last summer, after nearly a decade at the club at youth level.

Villarreal will pay 1.5 million euros to Granada for Monchu, and Barcelona will get half of that - 750,000 euros.

Monchu will sign a deal with Valladolid until 2026 and play for them next season in La Liga.

In 15 games for the club so far, playing over 700 minutes, he has scored two goals - against Alcorcon and Ponferradina, and given four assists.
