Gavi placed third, with just Bellingham and Wirtz named ahead of him

La Masia remains a machine when it comes to generating new talent for Barcelona's first team. Some of the latest players to be rewarded by Goal.com's 'Next Generation,' where the 50 best youngsters in the world are chosen, have come through the Catalan club's academy.

Gavi has been named as the third-best player in the world under 19, behind only Jude Bellingham and Florian Wirtz. The Barça midfielder has gone from the club's U19 team to a regular with club and country in nine months.

Topping the list of players born after Jan. 1, 2003, are the midfielders Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund) and, in the women's prize, Dumornay (Reims).

There is more Barça representation. Ilias Akhomach (18th) and Alejandro Balde (35th) also feature, while former La Masia players Ilaix Moriba (17th) and Xavi Simons (27) also feature.

Yusuf Demir, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Barça, is 13th, while Endrick, the 15-year-old Brazilian sensation, comes in at 49th.
