Barcelona are following Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar very closely. According to L'Equipe, the Catalan club's representatives have made contact with people around the player, who is 19, telling them they want him in the medium-term.
Aouar has had a meteoric rise this season. He debuted on February 16 in the Europa League against AZ and since then has become a revelation in French football.
The player has started eight times in Ligue 1, scoring a goal and providing two assists. He has also participated in four of the last five Europa League games, scoring a goal and providing one assist.
The Catalans have contacted the agent of the player, per the French paper. The intention was to see how the player feels, and see if he is ready to leave his comfort zone. In any case, the conversations were without the presence of Lyon.
