The team won the treble a decade ago, something never repeated

FC Barcelona will pay tribute to their 2009 sextuple ahead of the clash with Alaves on Saturday at Camp Nou.

Pep Guardiola and Tito Vilanova's side won the sextuple over the 2008-09 and 09-10 seasons, led by captain Carles Puyol. They won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Champions League in 08-09, adding the Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup after.

It was completed in Abu Dhabi on December 19, 2009, at the Sheikh Zayed stadium against Estudiantes de la Plata. Barca came from behind with Pedro and Messi scoring.

The club have invited all the players from those squads to the game, with Eric Abidal, Seydou Keita, Jose Manuel Pinto, Gaby Milito and Xavi Torres confirming they will attend. Leo Messi, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique are still in the first team squad.
