Barcelona team: Boateng, Dembele & Aleña start against Valladolid as Suarez rests
Valverde's made changes with Lyon on Tuesday in mind
FC Barcelona host Real Valladolid on Saturday and Ernesto Valverde has decided to rest Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic with an eye on Tuesday's Champions League game against Lyon.
Suarez's place in the side is taken by January signing Kevin Prince Boateng. Carles Aleña comes into the midfield alongside Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal.
The full team is: Ter Stegen, Sergi Roberto, Piqué, Vermaelen, Alba, Busquets, Aleñá, Arturo Vidal, Messi, Dembélé and Boateng.
Lionel Messi starts for the second week running, which is another plus for Barça, as he recovers from the thigh strain which kept him on the bench against Real Madrid 10 days ago.
Atletico fighting
Barça need to win to avoid Atletico -- and possibly Real Madrid -- cutting the gap on them. Following Atletico's win at Rayo Vallecano earlier on Saturday, Diego Simeone's side are now four points back from the La Liga leaders.
Madrid, meanwhile, host Girona on Sunday. They began the weekend in second, six points behind Barça.
