Gremio star and Barcelona target Arthur will miss the Club World Cup, where his side will probably meet Real Madrid in the final.
On Friday, the midfielder underwent tests in Porto Alegre and the results were disappointing: an ankle sprain is set to sideline him for 45 days.
Therefore, Arthur, the star of Gremio's Copa Libertadores win against Lanus, will be out until January.
His absence is a blow for Gremio. He was named MVP of the final and has sparked interest from Barça.
On Friday, the 21-year-old was photographed in a Barcelona shirt with club representative Andre Cury.
