The Blaugrana will stay in the running even if it turns into an auction

The transfer market for forwards is tough. Big stars have impossible prices, so European clubs are now looking for younger options with potential who could come at a more reasonable price.

Luka Jovic is the player who has the most interest and the player, well advised, has not decided or signed anything.

Barcelona know that his signing will end up in an auction but they will not duck out of the biding. They want him and if they can’t get him, they will make his price more expensive for whichever team does get him - including Real Madrid who are interested.

Los Blancos think it’s virtually impossible to bring in an Mbappe or a Harry Kane this summer, who are not for sale.

Marca say Jovic is their target and Barca are up to date with Madrid’s plans.

The striker’s agent Fali Ramadani met with Florentino Perez a few weeks ago in Madrid, speaking about Jovic and Juve midfielder Pjanic.

Barca have not made an official offer for the forward. They have met his people more than three times, asking about the price and trying to advance the operation.

The Blaugrana are willing to wait a year if Jovic wants to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt for longer.

Before April is out, Barca will meet again with his agents to see how things are going, with the idea of fighting for him until the end.

Madrid, PSG and Bayern are interested too - while Jovic is said to have declined the idea of playing in the Premier League.
