Barcelona spend 11 million euros on travel every season
The majority of the cash is spent on the first team but there are other teams, too
Barcelona's most recent economic report, which closed the year 2015-2016, contained some sections with some very interesting data.
Have you ever wondered, for example, how much the club invests in travel throughout a year?
Last season they spent around 11 million euros among all the club's departments and teams, with the Catalan club's first team's journeys costing 6.4 million euros.
It is necessary to take into account that at least every fortnight -- and there are weeks when there are two away trips -- Barça have to travel either across Spain or into Europe.
Transporting all the players and the technical staff means spending money -- even more when it is the Champions League. For the last year, for example, the first team have travelled on a chartered plane exclusively for them, without supporters or the media.
It is also noteworthy that all the other football teams at the club account for 1.8 million euros in travel, which surpasses the rest of the professional sections, including basketball and handball, who have teams competing in European competitions.
