Barcelona tried everything to register Marcos Alonso for Cadiz game

Xavi Hernández will provide the squad list for the match against Cádiz on Sunday and it is unlikely that he will have Marcos Alonso at his disposal. The coach was already unable to call up the full-back and Iñaki Peña in the opening game of the league against Getafe because they were not registered and everything suggests that the situation will be repeated in the second matchday. Alejandro Balde will also continue to play with a reserve team registration.

Xavi insisted to the club on the importance of being able to register, above all, Alonso in view of the absence of Ronald Araujo. The Barça coach is left without a defender and wanted to cover his back with the former Chelsea player. 

Barcelona looked for a way to immediately get the money that should arrive from the German fund Libero Football Club, which should be paid at the end of the month.

However, the contract with Libero is already signed and it is very difficult to change it, so the lever will not be effective until the end of August. Barça will continue to try to fulfill Xavi's sporting wishes, but it is very difficult to alter an agreement that has already been signed.

Therefore, everything seems to indicate that Alonso and Iñaki Peña could also be sidelined next matchday against Villarreal and, come September, they could make their debuts in the last game before the break against Osasuna.

In the same way, Balde will leave the number '28' in September as a member of Barça Atlètic to play with his new professional contract with the first team, with the number '3' on his back.
