Barcelona provide injury update on Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia

Both players were forced off at half-time of Saturday's 3-3 draw with Celta Vigo

Barcelona have confirmed that Ansu Fati injured his hamstring in the draw with Celta Vigo on Saturday, while Eric Garcia hurt his calf.

Both Ansu and Garcia had been called up for the Spain squad by Luis Enrique but are now unlikely to be involved with their country during the international break.

"Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia both had to be substituted during the first half of Barça’s game away to Celta on Saturday," the club announced.

"Striker Ansu Fati picked up an injury to his left hamstring and tests will now be required to determine the full extent of the problem.

"Defender Eric Garcia also left the field will trouble in his right leg. Again, tests will be required to determine how serious the injury is."

Ansu had scored the opening goal as Barça raced into a three-goal lead against Celta before squandering it in the second half. He pulled up just before the break after chasing a through ball.

Garcia was also taken off at half-time.
