The president was at the Copa game but will miss the Liga fixture
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu will miss the Clasico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, the 26th game of the 2018-19 La Liga season.
Bartomeu has a bug and will not be able to take his seat in the directors' box at the game as Barça look to repeat Wednesday's 3-0 win in the Spanish capitial in the Copa del Rey.
The Barça chief sat out the traditional lunch between the directors earlier on Saturday. The Catalan club were instead represented by vice presidentsJordi Cardoner, Jordi Mestre and Jordi Moix at the Hotel Westin Palace.
Barça are looking to put even more ground between themselves and Madrid in the title race. They're nine points clear as things stand but could stretch the gap to 12 with a win this weekend.
