Barcelona's players will have a few days off to enjoy Christmas after Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Sevilla brought 2021 to an end for Xavi's team.

The Barça coach has decided the squad will not return to training until Dec. 28, when they will be back inf for a 6pm session ahead of the return of LaLiga in the New Year.

The start of the year won't be easy, with the Spanish Supercop played between Jan 12-16. Before then, Barça travel to Mallorca in LaLiga (Jan. 2) and Linares in the Copa del Rey (Jan. 5).

They then travel to Granada or another LaLiga game (Jan. 8) before the Supercopa in Saudi Arabia. They face Real Madrid in the semifinal (Jan. 12) and will then be in the final against either Athletic or Atletico Madrid if they win the Clasico.

That means that Barça's first four games of 2022, at least, will be away from Camp Nou -- five if they make the final of the Supercopa in Saudi Arabia.

The first game at home will be on the weekend of Jan 18-20, against Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga. They will then travel to Mendizorroza to face Alaves (Jan 22-23).
