Five Barcelona players among the Golden Boy finalists
The reigning champ, Pedri, is back again but maybe Gavi is the favourite this season
Italian newspaper Tuttosport, in charge of the Golden Boy gala, have published their list of the 100 best U21 players in the world. Five Barcelona youngsters are among them.
Reigning Golden Boy champion Pedri, Gavi, Ansu Fati, Nico Gonzalez and Alejandro Balde.
Gavi was on the list last season but this year he is among the favourites after playing many games for Spain and Barcelona. Pedri and Ansu have been out injured for much of the season.
Ilaix Moriba of RB Leipzig is on the list and Real Madrid’s only representation is Edoardo Camavinga.
The other players who are in La Liga are Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, Villarreal’s Yeremi Pino and Valencia midfielder Younes Moussa.
