Barcelona player ratings vs Granada: Sergi Roberto one of few to shine
Barcelona won by a goal from Rafinha but it was not a fun game and few players were at their best

Bored. Very little to do after a timid shot in the first minute. Was alert to snaffle up a late cross.
Sergi Roberto 8
Great game from the cantera player at all levels, very sensible and accurate crossing going forward.
Javier Mascherano 7
A brilliant assist for Suarez from 30 yards away but the Uruguayan did not capitalise, incomprehensibly. Precise with the bal.
Samuel Umtiti 7
The French centre-back had an impeccable and relentless game. He was concentrating and alert, and nearly scored with a header.
Lucas Digne 7
The left-back was good in attack, with precise crosses, although in defence at times left space behind, which Umtiti covered well. Has to be applauded for his attacking actions here, each of which was well reasoned.
Ivan Rakitic 5
Played as defensive pivot and more than fulfilled that, but lost many of his strengths playing so far from the opposition goal. However, the need to rest Busquets meant he had to step up, and he didn’t let the team down.
Denis Suarez 5
It was not a good game for the midfielder, who risked little while playing as right interior. Needs to probe more one on one and with his passes, he has the quality to do it.
Rafinha 7
Wasn’t involved in the game so much and then he popped up and scored early in the second half with an overhead kick. Football is like this. After the goal gained confidence and had more presence. Five goals this season.
Messi 6
Not a fun game for the forwards with very little space, with 10 men behind the ball and defending with claws and teeth. The goal came after a combination with Suarez which ended up moving onwards.
Suarez 5
The Uruguayan forward missed a one on one after Masche’s great through ball. Ochoa denied him with a good save later and should have scored a header too. Not his night in front of goal. At least he didn’t get his fifth yellow of the season.
Neymar 6
A few magic actions, including his classic rabona control, but at the hour of truth could not find the net. Missed a couple of chances. Better to forget this game quickly.
