The Catalan side have improved in defence in recent weeks

Barcelona beat Levante 5-0 on Sunday to restore their three point lead over Atletico Madrid and Sevilla at the top of the table.

One important piece of data from the win was that they did not concede a goal, something which has not been too common this season.

Barça have conceded more goals than usual this season, but against Levante they set their longest streak for not letting in a goal: three league games.

The good run started against Villarreal, on Dec. 2 at Camp Nou, when they recorded a 2-0 win with goals from Gerard Pique and Carles Aleña.

A trip to Espanyol followed. Barça won 4-0 at their local rivals, with a brace from Lionel Messi and further goals from Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele.

Before the Villarreal game, you had to go back to August and the second game of the season at Real Valladolid to find the last time they'd kept a clean sheet.

It is true that it's not three straight games in all competitions, just LaLiga. Cultural Leonesa (Copa del Rey) and Tottenahm (Champions League) both breached Barça's defence recently.
