The Catalan club have budgeted to make the payments in the short- and long-term

Barcelona will present thheir accounts at the next general assembly and will acknowledge a debt of more than €207 million on signings, most of which were made in the summer of 2022 and signed with deferred payments.

The biggest debt, as the figures reveal, is for Raphina, for whom €24m is due this year and a further €38m will be outstanding for the future.

These are priority debts because in case of non-payment, something that has not happened and is not foreseen, the selling clubs could sue Barça, preventing them from being able to go to the transfer market.

In total, Barça report a short-term debt of €89m to be paid this season, while there is a long-term debt of €118m. In total, €207m.

For Robert Lewandowski, there are €10m to be paid this season and €21m in the long term, while for Ferrán Torres, signed in January 2022, there are €13m to be paid this season and €26m in other instalments in the future.

Another of the other large outlays that have been postponed is for former Sevilla player Koundé. Specifically, Barça will have to pay €11m this season and €24m in the future.

What is clear is that most of the efforts made in 2022 to strengthen the squad were made with deferred payments to avoid a collapse of the accounts. Barça have the money budgeted to make the payments without delay.

Interestingly, there is still a deferred payment for Frenkie de Jong, signed in 2019. Specifically, Barça owe Ajax €16m, which must be paid in this financial year.
